Man Ran Over 18 Mailboxes With Truck In Somerset: Police
John A. Szucs, 23, of Somerset hit 18 mailboxes with a 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup truck and left the scene, Franklin Police reported.

SOMERSET, NJ — A Somerset man has been arrested in connection with running over 18 mailboxes with his truck in the township.
On Jan. 13 multiple residents reported criminal mischief in the area of Culver Street, 9th Street, 12th Street and John E. Busch Avenue.
John A. Szucs, 23, of Somerset was found to have hit 18 mailboxes with a 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup truck and left the scene without reporting the crashes, following an investigation by police, Franklin Police Chief Richard A. Grammar reported.

Szucs was charged with 18 counts of criminal mischief, a disorderly persons offense. He was also issued numerous motor vehicle summonses including: Reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, failing to report a motor vehicle accident with property damage and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Szucs will be scheduled to appear in the Franklin Township Municipal Court in the near future.

“I am very proud of all of the officers that were involved in this case," Grammar said. "This investigation involved all three divisions of our department. Through a cooperative team approach our officers were able to bring this case to a successful conclusion.”
