Man Wanted For Crashing Car With Drugs, Alcohol Inside In Montgomery: Blotter
The Rocky Hill driver crashed his car into a support wire for a utility pole, several large rocks and a tree and fled the scene, police say.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — A Rocky Hills man who crashed his car in Montgomery with drugs and alcohol inside and then fled the scene is wanted by police.
On March 13, Montgomery Police responded to a one car motor vehicle crash on River Road near Blue Spring Road. As officers were responding, the caller stated that a person was walking away from the crash.
Police found the person, who was the passenger in the car involved in the crash and found out the driver, who was later identified as, Leonard Kopecky, 50, of Rocky Hill, fled the scene before police arrived.

The crash occurred when Kopecky failed to negotiate a curve and his car left the road, hitting a support wire for a utility pole, several large rocks and a tree, according to the report.
A K-9 responded to the scene and indicated the presence of narcotics in the car. A search of the car found drug paraphernalia inside, police said.

Attempts to locate Kopecky proved unsuccessful. Kopecky is facing charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Careless Driving, Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Report an Accident.

On March 18: Montgomery Police Officers Eric Hannold and Ryan Gray stopped a vehicle driven by Dillon Reed, 24, of Bristol, Rhode Island for a motor vehicle violation on Route 206 near Orchard Road. During the course of the stop, officers determined that Reed was in possession of marijuana, hashish, and drug paraphernalia. Reed was arrested and transported to MTPD HQ for processing. He was charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle. He was released pending an upcoming appearance in Montgomery Twp. Municipal Court.
