Massage Parlor Busted For Prostitution In Somerset County: Police

FRANKLIN, NJ — A New York woman has been arrested and charged with prostitution after multiple locals complained about a"suspected brothel" being operated out of a massage parlor in Franklin, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertson announced.

Xu Huiqin, 47, of Flushing, New York was arrested on Aug. 15 at around 3:45 p.m. following a two-month long investigation into the parlor, New Image Spa on Easton Avenue in Franklin Township.

During the investigation, an undercover Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office detective went into massage parlor where he reportedly was propositioned by Huiqin for a sexual act in exchange for cash, Robertson said.

Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force members, along with Franklin Police went inside and arrested Huiqin.

Huiqin was charged with engaging in prostitution, a disorderly persons offense out of the Franklin Township Municipal Court. Huiqin was processed and released on her own recognizance pending a Franklin Township Municipal Court hearing.
