The Somerset County LBGTQ+ Advisory Board was created by the Somerset County Board of Commissioners to support diversity in Somerset County by raising public awareness and advocating for LGBTQ+ residents by promoting justice and equality, ending oppression and inequities, ensuring that all voices in the community are heard, and fostering mutual respect among residents and its leaders. The Advisory Board also promotes education about LGBTQ+ issues, responds to community needs, and recommends positive changes.

Stacey Toolan, MPH, MCHES is the Health Education Program Coordinator for the Somerset County Department of Health (SCDOH), the agency responsible for the coordination of public health planning and response efforts during emergencies, to protect the health of the community.

Sameh Abdelaal, MD, is Medical Director of the Babs Siperstein PROUD Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital The PROUD Center offers specialized primary care services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA) community.
