Montgomery Business Evacuated, 50 Checked For Chemical Reaction
The chemical odor was reported on March 1 at a business on Wall Street in Montgomery Township.
MONTGOMERY, NJ — A Montgomery business was evacuated and 50 people were evaluated by emergency personnel following a chemical reaction, police report.
On March 1, a strong chemical odor coming from a business on Wall Street was reported causing it to be evacuated, Montgomery Police report.
An investigation, done with the help of Somerset County Hazmat, found that a chemical reaction occurred as a result of the improper cleaning of a bottle that contained a chemical, Montgomery Police reported.

More than 50 people were evaluated by Montgomery EMS, with help from Princeton EMS and EMS personnel from Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
Other responding units at the scene were: Montgomery Fire Company 2 and Rocky Hill Fire Department.
