Fatal Motorcycle Victim ID'd In Weekend Crash In Somerset County
A section of Easton Avenue in Franklin was closed for around three hours as a result of the motor vehicle crash.
FRANKLIN, NJ — Authorities have released the identitiy of the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Easton Avenue in Franklin Township this past weekend, announced Franklin Township Public Safety Director Quovella M. Maeweather.
The victim was identified as 43-year-old Franklin Township resident, Darrell Montgomery, said Maeweather.
On Saturday, June 1, at 12:17 a.m., the Franklin Township Police Department got a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Easton Avenue near DeMott Lane.

Police Officers, Firefighters, and EMS Personnel went to the scene. Due to the extent of the injuries sustained, the victim was pronounced dead at 1:01 a.m., said Maeweather.
The factors that contributed to the crash are currently under investigation by the Franklin Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
