National Night Out Canceled In Hillsborough Due To Impending Rain
The Hillsborough Township Police Department is hoping to reschedule the event early in September.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — National Night Out scheduled for Tuesday is canceled in Hillsborough due to the pending rainy forecast.
The Township sent out an alert about the cancelation on Monday.
"We hope to reschedule the event early in September," said police.

Residents are asked to monitor both Hillsborough Township and Hillsborough PBA 205 social media pages for updated information.
A Flood Watch has been issued for Hillsborough from Tuesday at 5 p.m. through Wednesday at 8 a.m.

Wednesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: A chance of showers between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Friday: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
