New Acting Superintendent To Be Appointed At Hillsborough BOE Meeting

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A new Acting Superintendent will be appointed at the upcoming Hillsborough Board of Education meeting on Monday.

The Board will vote on an addendum to the acting superintendent contract which appoints Dr. Kim Feltre to serve as Acting Superintendent for the period beginning Jan. 1, 2023, and continuing until on or about Jan. 31, 2023, or until this contract is terminated in accordance with the termination

provision contained in Article VI. (See the full addendum below)

Feltre had previously served as Acting Superintendent after Dr. Lisa Antunes resigned effective May 1 after being on a paid leave of absence for the past four months. Read More: Hillsborough Superintendent Resigns, School Finances Probe Continues

Feltre's last day as Acting Superintendent was Aug. 22 when Dr. Daniel Fishbein was hired by the Hillsborough BOE with a salary of $227,500 to take over as Interim Superintendent. Read More: New Interim Superintendent Hired To Head Hillsborough Schools

Fishbein's contract was initially set to continue through June 30, 2023.

Feltre will once again serve as Acting Superintendent beginning on Jan. 1 until the newly appointed Superintendent of Schools Michael Volpe's contract will take effect on Feb 1, 2023. Read More: New Superintendent Appointed To Lead Hillsborough Schools

Volpe's contract will continue through June 30, 2027, with a beginning salary of $235,000 that will be prorated.
