New Bivalent COVID Booster, Flu Shots Available In Hillsborough

Upcoming clinics will be held on Thursday and Sunday.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The new bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccines and flu shots will be offered in Hillsborough this week by the township Health Department.

New COVID Boosters and Flu Vaccines

  • When: Thursday, Sept. 22, 3 to 6 p.m.
  • Where: Hillsborough Municipal Building, 379 S. Branch Rd.

  • Vaccines available:
    • New bivalent COVID booster for ages 12 and up
    • Flu vaccine for ages 5 and up, including senior flu vaccine
    • Pediatric COVID booster for ages 5-11
  • Please bring your:
    • COVID vaccine card
    • Insurance/Medicare card (We do not accept HMOs for the flu vaccine. Insurance is not needed for the COVID vaccine but all plans are accepted if you have it.)

    • New bivalent COVID booster for ages 12 and up
    • Pediatric COVID booster for ages 5-11
    • First or second COVID dose for ages 3 and up
  • The vaccine is free, but bring your:
    • COVID vaccine card
    • Insurance card (if you have one)
    • Medicare card (if you have one)

Locals are eligible for the new booster 2 months after their most recent vaccine dose.

The new bivalent Pfizer and Moderna boosters target the Omicron variant and the original
COVID virus.

This updated booster offers stronger protection against severe illness and death from Omicron variants, according to the health department.
