The New Jersey Department of Transportation(NJDOT) is continuing on the bridge footings for the new bridge across from Lake Drive.
The NJDOT will also be patching driveways using recycled concrete stone to smooth out the entrances for businesses and residents up and down Route 206.
"Many people thought that was a long time coming," said Britting Jr. "I am just happy that they are working on this now. That is great news, so thank you. That is great for residences and businesses."
Patching of sediments on the existing pavement along Route 206 will also be happening.
Work is also starting on the east side of Route 206 between Lake Drive and the new jughandle across from Hillsborough Transmission.
Overnight construction will begin this week into next week for a pipe crossing near the St. Mary & St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church.
Falcon Road
Falcon Road is on track to be completed in September. Britting noted that milling and paving is currently underway.
Britting added that the Township is spending more than $4 million on road improvements this year.
