MONTGOMERY, NJ — A new half-mile section of pedestrian pathway along Skillman Road will be unveiled in Montgomery next week.
The pathway completion is part of the next phase of work to enhance connections between Otto Kaufman Community Center (OKCC), Montgomery High School, and neighboring areas.
The township will celebrate the opening of this infrastructure project that received support from New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. at OKCC at 356 Skillman Rd. in Skillman.

"We’ve heard residents’ feedback and are making improvements to pedestrian and bicycle accessibility a priority in Montgomery," said Montgomery Mayor Neena Singh. "These enhancements are incremental, but with each one we are making our community safer and easier to walk around."
During the late summer months and early fall, members of the senior center have already been enjoying the new recreational pathway for daily walks. As part of the project, broken and lifted sidewalk sections outside OKCC were repaired, and a crosswalk to Montgomery High School was added.
