New Principal Appointed For Hillsborough's Woods Road School
Michele Fisher was unanimously appointed as principal, effective Sept. 23.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A new principal has been appointed to serve at the helm of Woods Road School.
The Hillsborough Board of Education unanimously appointed Michele Fisher to serve as principal effective Sept. 23 through June 30, 2021. Fisher is replacing Jodi Howe, whose retirement was effective on Aug. 31.
Fisher's prorated salary will be $134,000.

Fisher was hired after a lengthy principal search where the board went through 130 applications and 25 first-round interviews. The applicants were narrowed down to 5 people who were interviewed by a committee made up of teachers, an elementary principal, a special ed supervisor and a Woods Road School representative.
Fisher has more than 25 years of experience as a teacher and principal. She earned a Bachelor's degree from The College of New Jersey and a Masters degree from Montclair State University.
