New Scenic Shelter Pavilion To Be Erected At Hillsborough Park
The Hillsborough Township Committee approved the purchase of a Scenic Shelter Pavilion for $191,889 on Tuesday night.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A new scenic shelter pavilion will be erected at Singley Park in Hillsborough.
The Hillsborough Township Committee approved a resolution authorizing the purchase and installation of a Scenic Shelter Pavilion through Ben Shaffer Recreation for $191,889 at its Tuesday night meeting.
Deputy Mayor Shawn Lipani said the cost of the pavilion was part of a bond approved in 2025.

"The safety pavilion being built over at Singley Park, it's a pretty wide open park, a lot of soccer kids out there, and there really is no shelter if anything should happen there," said Lipani.
"Number one, it adds a nice value to park for picnics, but also a critical safety point for any inclement weather that might show up," said Lipani.

Committeewoman Jill Gomez asked if the pavilion could be rented out. Lipani confirmed that it could be rented out through the Recreation Department.
Singley Park is located at 425 Woodfern Road in Hillsborough. The 14-acre park has a full-sized soccer field, four small-sided soccer fields, and four softball fields.
