HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A new larger ShopRite is coming to Hillsborough as part of a 120,000-square-foot development, announced Ripco Real Estate.

Village Super Market, which has operated the township’s existing ShopRite on Route 206 since 1985, purchased a property about a mile south at the Homestead Road intersection.

ShopRite will relocate its 60,000-square-foot store to the new location and expand to 80,000 square feet.

"We’ve already had terrific interest from national restaurants, franchise spa and salon operators and from several traditional national brick-and-mortar retailers. The new ShopRite Center has terrific reach. With approximately 30,000 cars a day, U.S. 206 is a vital conduit between Princeton and Bridgewater and beyond. And, Hillsborough is situated right in the middle, according to RIPCO.
