Nuray's Offers Special Monthly Treats This Week
A fixture for many breakfasts and lunches, dinners come just once each month.
You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:
Overview: Nuray's offers a complete and delicious menu of fresh-made breakfasts and lunches, but once each month, owner Nuray Coskun throws a change-up and offers a special Turkish dinner menu—head to the cafe Friday or Saturday (May 6 and 7) between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to enjoy these Turkish delights.

Many Warren diners know Nuray's offers only the freshest foods—try the home-made soups and lunch anywhere else will never be the same—which is why her Turkish dinners are such a treat.
Start your dinner with freshly-made hummus, or Cacik, a yogurt paste with cucumbers, garlic and dill, or grilled eggplant. For entrees, choose from shish kabobs of lamb, swordfish, chicken or filet mignon; Broiled Branzino or Guvech, a stew of oven roasted lamb, pearl onions, garlic, eggplant, mushroom, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and fresh herbs.

Décor: The cafe has a cozy, European-coffee shop decor. Several tables are set with comfortable lounge settees and chairs; others, with straight back chairs.
The Drinks: The cafe has a complete lineup of coffees—espresso, latte, cappucino—whatever your preference, but for a dinner like this, try the Turkish coffee. Iced coffees are also available, as well as smoothies, and other soft drinks.
Desserts:Baklava is always a favorite, but try the stuffed apricots for a real treat, or the Shekerpare, "An almond cookie that has been infused with a delightful syrup," according to Nuray's menu.
Service: Service at Nuray's is always warm and friendly, more like a visit to a friend's home than a restaurant serving such gourmet treats.
