Pastor From Somerset Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child

SOMERSET, NJ — A Somerset man and Pastor at a Spanish-speaking church in New Brunswick was charged with sexual assault of a child, announced Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Chief Vincent Sabo on Friday.
The Pastor was identified as Roby D. Cruz-Hernandez, 61, of Somerset, who works at Iglesia Pentecostal El Mesias in New Brunswick.
On Wednesday, a juvenile(an age was not given) reported being sexually assaulted by Cruz-Hernandez promoting Detective Daniela Castro of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and Detective William Coleman of the New Brunswick Police Department to begin an investigation.

Cruz-Hernandez was arrested without incident at his home in Somerset and charged with second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
