Hillsborough Girls Swim Past Competition at Meet of Champions

Team breaks meet records in three events.

Swim teams from across New Jersey descended on Gloucester County Institute of Technology Sunday for the final races of the season, the 40th Annual Girls Individual Meet of Champions.

The event was filled with athletes representing Chatham, Kinnelon, Mendham, Hillsborough, Pingry and Pope John to name a few.

The most amazing feat of the day was delivered by the Hillsborough relay team of Lindsey Temple, Rachel Stoddard, Julieyanna Parker and Jacquelynn Parker. Not only did they win all three relays, the 200 yard medley, the 200 yard free and the 400 yard free, but they broke the meet records in all three events.

"I am happy to see my girls happy and accomplish something like they did," said Hillsborough coach Todd Sudol.  "This is special to win all three relays at an event like this with the fastest swimmers in the state on the largest stage in the state.  I am just happy that they are enjoying the moment.  It is exciting as a coach to see them to enjoy and take this all in."
