Pedestrian Injured In Route 206 Hit-And-Run, Montgomery Police Seek Witnesses

Authorities are asking for the public's help to find the car wanted in connection with the hit-and-run on Monday night.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — A hit-and-run in Montgomery sent a pedestrian to the hospital on Monday night, authorities said.

On March 6, at 7:59 p.m., Montgomery Police and Montgomery EMS were called to Route 206 near Starbucks for the report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian, said Montgomery Police Lt. Tom Frascella.

Isis Birt, 20, of Skillman was crossing Route 206 mid-block from the northbound side to the southbound side of the road when she was hit by a passing vehicle, according to a preliminary investigation.

The vehicle continued southbound on Route 206 without stopping. A description of the vehicle was not disclosed at the moment.

Birt was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-New Brunswick for her injuries.
