Hillsborough Schools Plan To Switch Back To In-Person Instruction Monday
Hillsborough Township Schools will not have a snow day on Friday and instead, continue with a previously planned virtual day.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough students will have a virtual day of instruction on Friday and then may switch back to in-person on Monday.
Despite snow on Friday, students will not have a true snow day.
"As today was previously planned to be a virtual day, virtual instruction will take place as planned," said Hillsborough Director of Human Resources Michael Callahan.

However, parents and students may be able to return to some normalcy on Monday.
"With regard to Monday, we are planning a full reopening for in person instruction, but as always we will be monitoring the situation closely in consultation with the DOH and district physician," said Callahan.

Hillsborough Schools started the new year virtually due to an increase in statewide cases of COVID-19. Schools remained virtual throughout the week on Jan. 3.
On Thursday, Jan. 6, Hillsborough Schools reported a total of 38 positive cases district-wide for that day alone and a total of 462 for the month of January.
Hillsborough Township reported 67 positive cases on Thursday and a total of 501 since Dec. 31.
