Pick Your Own Pumpkins This Fall At These Somerset County Farms

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Saturday is the first day of fall. What better way to celebrate the season than to pick your own pumpkins, right here in Somerset County?! Some farms will begin their fall festivities in October but some are already open.

Here is a list of local pumpkin picking places:

Doyle's Unami Farms

• Address: 771 Mill Lane, Hillsborough
• Activities: Hayrides, corn mazes, farm animals and pick your own pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, and Zinnias.

Hillsboro Farm

• Address: 219 Hillsborough Road, Hillsborough
• Activities: (On weekends, Oct. 6 through Oct. 28) Hayrides, pumpkin picking in the pumpkin patch, corn maze, face-painting, scarecrow-making, pumpkin decorating, and more.

Norz Hill Farm

• Address: 120 South Branch Rd., Hillsborough
• Activities: All activities (including hayrides to the farm and pumpkin patch, u-pick pumpkins from the patch, 5-acre corn maze and more) will be open every weekend until Nov. 3. Starting Sept. 24, weekday hayrides to the farm and pumpkin patch, will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m.

Snyder Farm

• Address: 586 South Middlebush Road, Somerset
• Activities: (Weekends Sept. 29 to Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) Hayrides, pumpkin picking, corn maze, food and music.
