UPDATE: Police, SWAT, Military Spotted in Hillsborough

Breaking: Police are not releasing any information on the incident until Monday. Previous reports were proven false.

HILLSBOROUGH , NJ — Police, SWAT and military authorities were spotted in Hillsborough Sunday morning.

Authorities were spotted by a passing motorists on Amwell Road around 11:30 a.m.

The police and township closed the road around 11 a.m. between Longhill Road and Blackpoint Road during the incident. It has since reopened.

Other reports regarding the cause of the commotion were proven false.

"The matter has been resolved," stated Somerset County Prosecutor Director Of Communications Jack Bennett.

Police are not releasing any information until Monday.
