Propane Tank Explodes, Hillsborough Home Catches Fire
The fire at a Township home was reported on Saturday.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A propane tank exploded and a house caught fire prompting Hillsborough emergency officials to respond on Saturday.
On June 29 at around 11:17 a.m., the Hillsborough Township Police Department went to 8 Lindstrom Drive for the report of an explosion.
Police found a propane tank next to the home that was on fire, said Hillsborough Police Sgt. Christopher Giraldi.

A small section of siding on the outside of the garage was also charred. Hillsborough Firefighters extinguished the fire.
The fire is not considered suspicious but remains under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Police Department and the Hillsborough Township Bureau of Fire Safety.

The home had very minor damage and was deemed habitable by the Hillsborough Township Building Department.
