Protest Rally Against Warehouses In Hillsborough, Information Session Planned

S.W.A.T., Hillsborough's local citizens' group, is hosting an information session and protest over the 7 large-scale warehouses proposed.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — S.W.A.T., Hillsborough’s local citizens’ group, is hosting an information session on the seven large-scale warehouses proposed in the township along with a protest rally this week.

The proposed warehouses range in size from 85,000 to 389,000 square feet, are all located within 500 feet of residential neighborhoods, and are in flood-prone areas, wrote S.W.A.T.

"The construction of these enormous buildings will generate hundreds of 80,000-pound trucks on local roadways, increase toxic air emissions, and exacerbate flooding," wrote S.W.A.T.
