Raccoon Attacks Woman As She Exits Car In Hillsborough
The furry bandit remains at large in the township.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A raccoon who attacked a township resident on Tuesday afternoon remains at large.
On March 14 at around 12:46 p.m., the Hillsborough Township Police Department and Animal Control Solutions were called to the area of Hamilton Road and Cheryl Road for a reported animal complaint.
The caller said she was getting out of her vehicle in her driveway when a raccoon latched onto her ankle/boot from underneath her vehicle, said Hillsborough Police Corporal Christopher McMinn.

The resident said that she was able to kick the raccoon off and retreat to her vehicle for safety while she called the police, said McMinn.
No injuries were reported, and the raccoon was not found.

Residents are reminded to notify the Hillsborough Township Police Department if they encounter any animals acting out of the ordinary in the township.
