Raccoon Bites Hillsborough Woman And Dog
The resident on Bigley Road reported leaving through the front door with her dog when they were both bitten by a raccoon before it ran off.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough residents are being warned to be careful after a woman and her dog were bitten by a raccoon on Tuesday.
Irene Rothschild, 63 reported leaving through the front door of her home at 424 Bigley Road around 11:06 a.m. with her dog when they were both bitten by a raccoon before it ran off.
Both she and her dog were later treated for their injuries. Patrol could not locate the raccoon, police reported.

St. Hubert's animal control set traps in the area. The Hillsborough Township Health Department was notified of the incident.
"Residents are reminded to use caution when encountering wildlife," Hillsborough Police stated.
