Reorganization Meetings Set for Hillsborough

Hillsborough Township and Hillsborough Board of Education will host reorganization meetings this coming week.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — With the new year here, local towns and school boards will begin swearing in their new members to kick off 2017.

The Hillsborough Township Reorganization Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Hillsborough Municipal Complex.

During the township meeting, Republican Incumbemt Frank DelCore will be sworn into another thee-year term as Mayor. DelCore won the election over newcomer Democrat Laurie Poppe.

The Hillsborough Township Board of Education will host its reoganization meeting on Monday, Jan. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Auten Road Intermediate School, 281 Auten Rd, Hillsborough Township.

Three board members — Jean Trujillo, Thomas Kinst and Gregory W. Gillette — will be sworn in at the meeting for a three-year term. All three incumbents were elected to another term over challenger Debashis Dutt.
