Rocky And Sammy Are Hillsborough's Pet Of The Week

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Meet Rocky and Sammy! They have been chosen as Hillsborough's Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Both in Hillsborough with their owners Bob and Ginni Conquest, Rocky and Sammy are both rescued Basset Hounds from Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue in Washington.

Rocky is from Virginia and Sammy is from Kentucky. While we don’t know much about their backgrounds, they have been amazing and lovable pups.

Rocky loves to howl/ sing. It started with the Geico commercial and has progressed with classical music. Sammy tries to keep up holding the notes as a good background singer but he’s no match for the Roc! We have no idea why Rocky started this but he will sing pretty much on command when we tell him now.

Sammy is a klepto. If you are missing something, it’s guaranteed to be found in one of the bedrooms in a neat pile. He’s actually insane and fearless. He loves running with the big dogs at the park while big Roc will be seen playing with the little dogs. He’s a gentle loving Basset while Sammy is a nut.

They give us endless hours of laughter and love. Just thought it would be a nice way to honor them and bring more awareness to “Adopt, Don’t Shop.” "
