Motorcyclist vs. Car Crash On Route 206 Crash In Montgomery

The highway was closed for around 3 hours on Friday following the crash involving a motorcycle and a car.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — A motorcyclist versus car crash was reported on Route 206 in Montgomery on Friday, said police.

On Dec. 1, at 12:17 p.m., Montgomery Police went to the area of Route 206 and Sunset Road for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a car.

Montgomery EMS Squad 47 and Robert Wood Johnson Somerset Medics came to treat the motorcycle rider, a 26-year-old Montgomery resident.

The driver of the other vehicle involved was evaluated and declined additional treatment.

Montgomery Township Station 46 Blawenburg established a landing zone for NorthSTAR Medevac. Members of the Somerset County CART Team responded.

During the crash investigation, the NJ DOT Diversion Team provided detour routes. Route 206 was closed for around 3 hours.

The investigation is currently ongoing. MTPD Sgt. Sean Sullivan is the lead contact for the investigation.
