School Supplies Being Collected For Needy Hillsborough Families

The Hillsborough Township Community Assistance Network (CAN), has begun their "Back to School Supply Drive."

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The new school year is just around the corner and donations of school supplies are being collected to help families in need.

The Hillsborough Township Community Assistance Network (CAN), has begun their "Back to School Supply Drive."

The drive is in need of the following items:

  • backpacks (new and gently used),
  • pens,
  • pencils,
  • highlighters,
  • markers,
  • colored pencils,
  • erasers,
  • white out,
  • tape,
  • glue sticks,
  • folders,
  • pencil cases,
  • scissors,
  • binders,
  • graph paper,
  • loose leaf paper,
  • dividers,
  • sketch pads
  • and daily planners.

Supplies can be dropped off at the Social Services Department between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday by Sept. 16.
