Shots Fired On Labor Day In Somerset County, Prompt Police Investigation

The Franklin Township Police found evidence of several gunshot rounds early Monday morning.

FRANKLIN, NJ — Several gunshots were fired early in the morning on Labor Day in Franklin Township prompting a police investigation.

On Sept. 2 at around 1:15 a.m., Franklin Township Police Department dispatch got a 911 call reporting gunshots heard in the area of Franklin Boulevard, between Matilda Avenue and Baier Avenue.

Police found evidence of several gunshot rounds. No one was reported injured.

This incident is currently under investigation by the Franklin Township Police DepartmentInvestigative Division.
