Somerset County Coronavirus Cases Rise To 30

Gov. Murphy said there are 155 new cases of the coronavirus, raising the state total to 890 on Friday. There were also two more deaths.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Six new positive cases of the new coronavirus were reported in Somerset County on Friday at 3 p.m. bringing the total to 30 in the county, according to Somerset County Department of Public Health and Safety.

The governor said the state should expect stronger measures on Saturday to "tighten the screws" and help bring an end to the outbreak. New Jersey will likely shut all non-essential businesses, and gatherings of 10 – or even fewer – will likely be banned, Murphy said.
