SOMERVILLE, NJ – Somerset County Clerk Steve Peter convened the County’s Board of Canvassers to certify the winners of the November 2, 2021 General Election today. The certification completes the counting of ballots by the Board of Elections, and sets the stage for notification to the New Jersey Secretary of State later in the week.
“This year’s election was complex with three ways to vote, two types of voting machines, and the electronic pollbooks but the great staffs at the Board of Elections and County Clerk’s office pulled together to meet the deadline for certifying the winners,” said Clerk Peter.
