Somerset County Government: Somerset County Surrogate And Clerk's Offices To Suspend Extended Hours Nov. 24 In Celebration Of Thanksgiving

SOMERVILLE, NJ – On Wednesday, Nov. 24, the Somerset County Surrogate’s Office and Clerk’s Office, located in the Administration Building at 20 Grove St., Somerville, will close ate 4:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. respectively to allow staff and the public to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Extended hours of operation will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 1, when the offices will close at 6 p.m. 

Visitors to the Surrogate’s office must always have an appointment, while the Clerk’s Office recommends appointments but will accommodate walk-ins during office hours. After arriving to 20 Grove Street, visitors should check in at the front desk to sign in and observe COVID protocols. Those who have an appointment will be escorted to the appropriate office, and those who do not have an appointment will be asked to wait until the staff is available to assist.
