Somerset County Locals Perform, Involved In RVCC Play

Somerset County residents will be performing and involved in a student theatre production of Craig Pospisil's Somewhere in Between

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Somerset County residents will be performing and involved in a student theatre production of Craig Pospisil’s Somewhere in Between at Raritan Valley Community College.

The play will be presented from Nov. 16 to 19, at 7 p.m. in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg Campus.

Somewhere in Between is a contemporary, sharply crafted romantic comedy in which the “laughs come easily and frequently,” according to City News. In 10 comic scenes, the cast of 11—playing multiple roles—takes us inside Jasper’s world of isolation, fear of uncertainty, and sense of impending doom. Jasper takes his “lumps” in an elevator, the subway, a bookstore, a restaurant, and at work before a chance encounter with a homeless man provides needed perspective. With that and with the joy of finally making contact with the lovely Holly, he learns he can survive (and maybe even thrive) without a guarantee in his life.
