Somerset County Gynecologist Charged With Sex Assault Of Patient

FRANKLIN, NJ — A Somerset County gynecologist was charged with sexually assaulting a patient, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.

Dr. Chike J. Aguh, 64, of Mulberry Court, in Belle Mead was charged with second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree sexual contact.

This past Tuesday, a patient told police that she was sexually assaulted by Aguh while at an appointment at his practice in the Somerset section of Franklin Township, according to Robertson.

The patient was interviewed by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit and Franklin Township Police Department. As a result of this investigation, Aguh was arrested and charged on Wednesday at the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office without incident.

Aguh was been taken to the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
