Somerset County Seeking Employers To Participate In May Job Fair Events

The purpose of these job fairs is to connect job seekers to available career-pathway positions.

The Greater Workforce Development Board (GRWDB) is seeking employers in Hunterdon and Somerset Counties to participate in two free job fairs on May 6 and May 16. The purpose of these job fairs is to connect job seekers to available career-pathway positions. Businesses of any size from both counties are welcome to participate. Advance registration is required for both events.

Hiring and Community Resource Job Fair, May 6
Space is available for up to 30 employers and community-service agencies and when the capacity limit is reached, there will be a waiting list.

To participate, employers must have several full-time and part-time job openings or internships available. Community agencies should provide service information that job seekers will find helpful, such as information related to career services or general social services.

The Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women will be sponsoring a "Dress to Impress" workshop for people who are reentering the workforce.

The job fair will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the first-floor conference room at the Somerset County Human Services Building, located at 27 Warren St., Somerville.

The Greater Raritan 2023 Job Fair, May 16
The GRWDB is seeking 100 employers for this event, but once the capacity limit is reached, there will be a waiting list. Employers from all industry sectors are welcome. Employers interested in participating must have several full-time and part-time job openings or internships. Free lunch will be available for employer participants.

Location
The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16 in the Balaji Temple Auditorium at the Hindu Temple and Cultural Society, located at 1 Balaji Temple Drive (off Route 202-206) in Bridgewater.

This job fair is made possible by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, GRWDB and the Hindu Temple and Cultural Society. This marks the second consecutive year the GRWDB is collaborating with the temple; last year’s event had more than 100 employers and drew 500-plus job seekers.
