Somerset County Dirt Biker Killed In Fiery Car Crash In New Brunswick
The crash happened at a New Brunswick intersection on Tuesday night.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 19-year-old from Somerset was killed following a crash with a car in New Brunswick on Tuesday night.
The driver of the dirt bike was identified as Jayvi Rodriguez.
On March 31, at around 7:29 p.m., a vehicle driving on Jersey Avenue hit a dirt bike near the intersection at Jules Lane, according to a preliminary investigation.

The crash caused both the vehicle and the dirt bike to be engulfed in flames.
Both the driver of the vehicle and the operator of the dirt bike were taken to an area hospital.

Rodriguez died from his injuries, said New Brunswick Police.
Jersey Avenue was closed to vehicular traffic in both directions for less than an hour.
No charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
