Somerset Man ID'd As Motorcyclist Killed On Route 1

The Somerset man was driving his motorcycle south on Route 1 near Willow Glade Road when it collided with a 2004 Chevrolet van in Linden.

SOMERSET, NJ — A Somerset man was identified as the fatal victim in a motorcycle crash on Route 1 in Linden on Saturday afternoon.

Christopher Miller, 29, of Somerset was identified as the driver of the 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle, Linden Police said.

At around 2:46 p.m., Miller was driving his motorcycle south on Route 1 near Willow Glade Road when it collided with a 2004 Chevrolet van that was making a right turn onto Willow Glade Road, Linden Police said. Read More: Motorcyclist Killed After Colliding With Van On Route 1

The motorcycle continued southbound over the curb and struck a utility pole, police said.

The Miller succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. The other driver was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau, and anyone with information is urged to contact Inv. John Halkias at 908-474-8505.
