Somerset Man Identified As Murder Suspect Still At Large: MCPO

EDISON, NJ — A Somerset man has been identified as a suspect wanted in connection with a murder in Edison last month who is still at large, and is considered armed and dangerous, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey said.

Andrew Harriot, also known as Drew Cash, 26, of the Somerset section of Franklin Township, has been charged with murder and attempted murder, Carey said. Through a lawyer, Harriot agreed to turn himself in to police this past Sunday, but then failed to do so.

"Harriot remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who is actively assisting Harris to avoid arrest, is subject to criminal liability and may be charged with a crime," Carey said.

Harriot (pictured above) is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, and about 220 pounds. He has a tattoo of a ski mask on the right side of his neck, Carey said.

The murder happened during the early-morning hours of March 23, outside a reggae event at the Akbar Resturaunt in south Edison. Nahshon Brown, 31, was killed, and another man, a 40-year-old from Newark, was seriously injured when he was shot in the head. Harriot is accused of firing the gun that struck both men, Carey said.

"These shootings are tragic and upsetting, to me and to residents of our community. I am confident that Edison's well-trained Police Department, working in conjunction with the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, can and will bring to justice the person or persons responsible," Edison Mayor Thomas Lankey said the day of the shooting.
