FRANKLIN, NJ — A Somerset man who shot a teen girl in the back of the neck and then ordered pizza and sang about the killing on social media was sentenced Thursday to 27 years in New Jersey State Prison, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said.
On Aug. 9, 2017, Tamar Reaves, aka "T-Mac," 20, of Park Street, in the Somerset section of Franklin Township reportedly met with 18-year-old Chamari Webb near an area deli located on Millstone Road and followed her to her relative’s Battle Place home, and shot her in the back of her neck with a 9mm handgun, Robertson said.
Multiple 911 calls reported the shooting at 7:54 a.m. where police found Webb suffering from a life threatening gunshot wound. She was transported to a local trauma center before being pronounced dead at 8:29 a.m.

After the shooting, Reaves reportedly went to a friend’s home before going to his grandmother’s Franklin Township home. At the house, he ordered a pizza and made multiple posts on social media including a photo of the pizza, as well as a video of himself singing the lyrics of a song which mirrored the shooting, Robertson said.
Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Randy Sidorski, Franklin Township Police Sgt. Kevin Fitzharris, and Lt. Mark Pappas and Detective Brandt Gregus of the New Brunswick Police Department helped identify and arrest Reaves.
