Somerville Bridal Shop Closes, Community Saddened

After 10 years in business, Isabelle's Bridal & Eveningwear​​ in Somerville has closed.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — After 10 years in business, Isabelle's Bridal & Eveningwear in Somerville has closed.

The shop had sold bridal gowns, special occasion dresses, and accessories.

"It's been an absolutely wonderful 10 years at Isabelle's. We wish all our friends much love, great happiness and good health," according to the store's Facebook page.

An outpouring of sadness was expressed online when the shop, located at 14 Division St. in Somerville, announced it was closing last week on its Facebook page.

"Thank you for making my dreams come true on my wedding day! Your shop was always a lovely fairytale place! I will miss it," wrote Kelly-Marie May.

"You have spread so much joy doing all that you love to do. I will miss sharing your awesome deals and gorgeous formal wear," said Linda Beaudry Condrillo.

"Where will I go if I need a fabulous dress now! You are truly an amazing woman and you have made 100s and thousands of girls feel soo beautiful as one of your brides! I know I did!" wrote Bernadette Robertozzi.

It is unclear if the shop closed due to the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic or what will replace the store.
