Spilled Tea Causes Rollover Crash With Entrapment In Montgomery: Cops
The 17-year-old Princeton driver was freed from the crash with the help of a passing driver, said police.
MONTGOMERY, NJ — A 17-year-old Princeton driver was rescued from his trapped, rolled-over car that crashed after he spilled tea on himself, said Montgomery Police.
On Feb. 24 at 7:33 a.m., the Montgomery Township Police Department went to the area of Cherry Hill Road and Cherry Brook Drive for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment.
The teen was driving a white Volkswagen Passat north on Cherry Hill Road when an investigation found he spilled tea on himself while driving, said Montgomery Police.

The driver reached for the cup of tea, taking his eyes off the roadway. His car veered off the roadway, hitting a mailbox and an embankment which caused the car to roll over onto its roof, said police.
Before police arrived, the driver was able to free himself from the car with the help of a passing motorist, said police.

There were no injuries from this crash.
Station 46 fire and Montgomery Squad 47 responded. The driver was taken to Helene Fuld Hospital, Hamilton for precautionary measures.
The driver was issued a summons for careless driving.
