Stove Fire With Resident Inside Hillsborough Home Quickly Extinguished
Breaking: A fire that broke out at a Millstone River Road home is under investigation after a stove caught ablaze on Thursday afternoon.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A stove fire with someone still inside cause authorities to close off Millstone River Road Thursday afternoon.
A Nixle alert was sent out at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 to close Millstone River Road from Strawberry Lane to Blackwells Mill.
Arriving Hillsborough Fire District units found everyone was already out of the house at 1948 Millstone River Road and responding fire departments were able to quickly knock down the fire and hold it to the kitchen area, according to Station 37 Fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hillsborough Township Bureau of Fire Safety. All units cleared the scene by 2:50 p.m.
