5-Year-Old Hit By SUV While Walking To School Bus In Hillsborough

The juvenile had minor injuries following the crash on Thursday morning at the intersection of Marshall Road and Merritt Drive, said police.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A 5-year-old student walking to a school bus was reportedly hit by an SUV on Thursday morning, said Hillsborough Police Lt. Scott W. Mc Carthy.

On March 21 at 8:07 a.m., Hillsborough Police were called to the report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Marshall Road and Merritt Drive.

Officers found a juvenile's foot had been hit by a vehicle while crossing the road to a school bus, said Mc Carthy.

The 5-year-old had minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

The driver of the Subaru Crosstrek was served summonses after the investigation was completed.
