Summer Dance Intensives

The Dance Connection Performing Arts Center of Hillsborough offers Dance Intensives for the advanced dancer ages 9 and older.

At The Dance Connection Performing Arts Center, we offer professional level training for young dancers. Our summer dance intensives are designed for dancers who are training for a competition team, ballet company, a professional career, a college dance program or who just want to take their dancing to another level. Students work with a talented group of faculty from the professional dance world including Broadway, film, TV and Music Video.*

Hip-Hop Intensive – July 17th – 21st, Age 9+
Guest teachers from the professional dance world teach Hip-Hop master classes each day. Dancers learn multiple styles of Hip-Hop from these industry professionals and prepare a showcase performance that’s open to the community at the end of the week.


Prima Bella Ballet Intensive – August 7th – 11th, ages K–4th

A Ballet intensive appropriate for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Children will work together to create a short ballet production that’s open to the community at the end of the week.

Ballet Intensive August 14th – 25th
Dancers experience what it’s like to be a professional dancer. Dancers take ballet class, a master class with guest faculty, conditioning classes, educational classes, pointe and variations. This is a complete and comprehensive training program for the young dancer who wants to get to the next level. Placement is required.

In addition to summer dance intensives, The Dance Connection also offers a variety of summer camps for children as young as 5 years old, through high school. Half day, full day or extended day, there is a camp for every schedule. Check them out here.
