Super Sundaes Owners Honored For Dedication, Commitment To Hillsborough

Jayne and Steve Mochnacz served the community for 25 years before announcing their retirement.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Super Sundae owners Jayne and Steve Mochnacz were honored with a proclamation at the Jan. 23 Township Committee meeting.

Mayor Robert Britting, Jr. read the proclamation to the Mochnacz's for their dedication and commitment to the Hillsborough community for 25 years.

"Super Sundaes has generously supported the community through various fundraising events for non-profit organizations, Somerset Valley Playhouse, schools, scouts, families, and foundations; including the well-known Annual Ice Cream for Breakfast fundraiser benefiting Steps Together and the Spirit Week Sundaes fundraiser for Hillsborough High School students," according to the proclamation.

Jayne and Steve Mochnacz provided more than 125 high school students with their first job and Super Sundaes was recognized by Allergy Eats as a top 10 in the country in the category of Allergy Friendly Dessert shops.

"The Mayor and the Hillsborough Township Committee, do hereby recognize and thank Jayne and Steve Mochnacz for their 25 years of providing delicious ice cream and treats to the Hillsborough community," according to the proclamation

Jayne and Steve Mochnacza announced their plans to retire from Super Sundaes in December. They also said they were looking for anyone interested in continuing their business.
