The SWAT team was called out to Montgomery after a homeowner reportedly shot a gun at another man, authorities said.
MONTGOMERY, NJ — A SWAT situation in Montgomery ended peacefully after police say a homeowner shot a gun at a visitor early Tuesday.
At around 5:34 a.m. a man called Montgomery Police and said he went to a home on Elm Drive in Skillman in which he knew the homeowner in an attempt to collect a debt, said Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
The man said when the homeowner answered the front door, he walked out and then fired a single shot from a handgun at the visitor while outside of the home, according to Robertson.
