Sweetberry Bowls To Open In Hillsborough

3 New Jersey locals are looking to bring healthy food to Hillsborough.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Three New Jersey locals are teaming up to bring healthy food to Hillsborough with their franchise Sweetberry Bowls.

The eatery is looking to open in June at 629 Route 206 between Chipotle and Starbucks. It will be the first location in Somerset County and fourth location overall.

Desi Saran, founder of the company, along with Matt Cifelli and Matt Skopak are excited to join the “tight-knit” Hillsborough community.

“We liked Hillsborough’s demographic and it seemed like an up and coming site,” Saran said. “We support healthy food all over and are gearing our demographic to millennials who want to eat healthier.”

Sweetberry Bowls is a health food concept specializing in acai, pitaya, coconut, and green bowls, smoothies, coffee, and salads. All of the bowls and salads are made from scratch and can be customized for customers to build their own.

Founded in 2017 by Saran, the franchise is really taking off with many more opening across the Garden State and across the country including in Illinois and South Carolina.

Other upcoming openings include in Princeton, East Brunswick, Jersey City, Woodbridge and more.
