'Teacher of the Year' Honored by the Township
Hillsborough High teacher Roberta Henry has 'talent for inspiring a love of learning'

Hillsborough High School teacher Roberta Henry, named the school district’s Teacher of the Year, was honored on Tuesday by the Township Committee.
Henry, a township resident, has taught family and consumer science at the high school since 1996. She has also taught a class in independent living for special education students for the past 12 years.
Her childcare class is now participating in the second phase of the school district’s one-to-one pilot computer program.

Henry will now be considered, with teachers of the year from other districts, to be Somerset County Teacher of the Year. If she earns the county honor, she will be eligible to be considered as New Jersey Teacher of the Year.
The township proclamation recognizes Henry for her leadership a possessing “a talent for inspiring a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities.”
