Teen Falls Asleep Behind Wheel, Crashes Into Tree In Montgomery: Cops
The 17-year-old Princeton boy was able to free himself from the rolled-over SUV before police got to the crash, said Montgomery Police.
MONTGOMERY, NJ — A 17-year-old Princeton boy is hospitalized after falling asleep behind the wheel and crashing into a tree, said Montgomery Police.
On June 23 at about 4:24 p.m., the teen was driving a 2008 Ford Edge when he fell asleep behind the wheel, crossed over the double yellow line, crossed over the main westbound lane of Cherry Valley Road, went off the roadway, before hitting a utility pole and a tree, said police.
The SUV then flipped over onto its passenger side. The teen was able to free himself from the SUV before police arrived.

The teen had multiple lacerations on his arms, was evaluated by Montgomery EMS, and was taken to University Hospital at Plainsboro for further medical treatment.
His SUV was towed from the scene.

Montgomery Police, Montgomery EMS, and Montgomery Fire Station 46 all helped at the crash.
